Hi I lurk here quite often.
I have a promo code for a seven sling and was wondering if it is a good sling to get? I have been drawn to the Moby, but this seems to be a good deal, but didn't know if the sling was 1) easy to use 2) comfortable for baby and mommy.
Any recommendations would be great! Thanks
Re: lurker with a question
Not really. I have one and I keep it in the diaper bag. I've used it a couple times and it's been OK when I needed to literally run in somewhere- like 7-11 or the bank. If you won't miss the $15, it's fine but make sure you order the right size. I was in between and went a size up.
If you like the sling idea check out the slings at sleepingbaby.net. The Moby is good for the winter but involves a lot of tying and wrapping. lots of people like the K'tan- it's basically a pre-tied Moby. I'd check that out too.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
That's good to know. What's wrong with it? I thought that Sevenslings was a good brand.
I don't think that it's a bad brand - it's more that pouches are really hard to fit unless you get exactly the right size.
We have a couple that we use for demoing at our BWing meetings, and we tried to fit one on a new mama, tried 5 different ones, and there wasn't one that was just right.
I think if you're going to spend money, you might as well get something that will last through years of BWing, like a good ring sling, or a wrap.
I really like the Moby-style wraps. They are so versitle. If you get one made of a lightweight fabric (like a linen), then they aren't hot at all. I like them because you can carry your baby/toddler in so many different ways (front, back, hip, facing forward, facing in, etc) and both mom and dad can use it.
