Wow! I never expected it to be this bad. My first dealt with shots well and would just sleep a lot afterwards.
Avery is a miserable baby tonight. I gave her tylenol around 4:30 and she was okay for about an hour after that.
She's finally sleeping after a long night of terrible, unconsolable crying from my normally very happy baby.
If you had a fussy baby, how long after shots were they fussy?
Re: Fussy after shots? Anyone else?
I had to give him 2 does of baby Tylenol (6 hours apart of course). Which helped him to sleep.
He was fine the next day, though!
I hope the same for us!!
She didn't have a fever or anything, but if she even bent a leg even a little bit she would scream the most horrifying scream ever! I just wanted to cry with her!
I really hope she's back to normal tomorrow! It'll just be me and the girls all.day.long!
That's a great idea!! Might just put her in a warm bath all day long!

Sorry : (
I kept writing encouraging things to people who were asking about 2 mon. shots because my first one did so well with all of them!
And I'm guessing by the few responses I got, probably most babies do just fine!
hmph, I'm not convinced. I'm preparing myself for the worst... between the heat, and reflux, and in some shots.... should be a looong weekend!

At least you know you aren't the only one!haha
DS was slightly fussy the afternoon he got his shots, but not too bad. But then overnight he started running a fever and was slightly restless and the entire next day he ran a 101ish fever and was very fussy. By day two after shots, the fever was gone and he was almost back to normal. Just slightly clingier and not sleeping great.
I didn't nurse while he got his shots, but I did immediately after and it helped him calm down. Pedi recommended giving Tylenol for pain. She suggested we also not take his temp unless he was very fussy/acting strange or felt warm to the touch (more than usual) because we would probably drive ourselves nuts.
He slept most of the day that afternoon, but that evening he was fussy and awake more than usual and yesterday he was a crankpot.
I wanted to, and I don't know why I didn't ask. I feel silly asking to nurse, I'm not sure why though! I did nurse her immediately after and she fell right to sleep. But would not sleep the rest of the night and she was miserable.
She seems a little better today, hopefully she'll be back to herself tomorrow!
