I don't really know anything about this formula other than the fact that it's hypo-allergenic...
My question is this-- Is it okay/not okay for a baby with no allergy issues to use it?
My DD is a week old and has done well so far on the plain old Enfamil Lipil. My brother asked us what kind of formula we are using because a good friend of his just went through three months of feeding issues with his DC and tried a whole bunch of different formulas before finding one that worked, and had a whole bunch of unopened formula he was willing to pass on (the brands that didn't work for his baby).
I told my brother that we are using Enfamil Lipil, and he said that his friend had a whole bunch to give us. He brought it over last night, and it turns out it's not the regular Enfamil, it's the Nutramigen. He gave us a LOT of it (18 large RTF cans!), and I have no idea if it would be okay or not to use this with DD if she does fine with the regular Enfamil Lipil...
Does anyone know?
Re: Maybe a dumb question re: Nutramigen
Maybe you're close to me - I would love it! DD is on Nutramigen and this stuff is expensive! If all else fails, you could pass it along on Craig's List.
I wouldn't use it for your DC since they could get used to it and it costs a lot.
