Off the charts for length?

LO is 3.5 months and 27 inches long.  That's way off the charts for length, especially for a girl.  She was only 50th percentile for length at birth, 19.5 inches long.  She's around 50th percentile for weight, and is doing great, super healthy and seems to be meeting milestones, but do pedi's ever get concerned about such rapid growth?

Re: Off the charts for length?

  • We're off the charts, but for a boy. 28.8in!  And, I don't think they get worried, no.

Not when everything else indicates normal, happy baby!

(also, the babies wiggle so much, it's hard to get an exact measurement, both of our LO's could be overestimated)

Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)

DD was 27" at 3.5m also (15w). She grew 2 inches in four weeks. Pedi just laughed and called her a sprout. When I told her that H isn't particularly tall (nor am I), she just said, "She may not be tall as an adult. They all even out." I'm not concerned!
