Looking into getting a wrap/ring sling to complement my other carriers... Would you recommend a maya wrap? What's the difference between a maya wrap and an off brand cheaper ring sling?

I've never tried another RS because I've been so happy with my Maya-- I used it when DD was 4 days old to go to the pedi, and I still use it a few times a week to run errands or whenever I know she's going to be up & down a lot.
It still looks brand-new, even after 18 months of use. The fabric is really high-quality, and there's a lot of it-- some people might think the tail is bulky, but I always found it useful as a nursing cover, sun shade, extra layer in the cold, etc. And the zipper pocket on the tail is awesome, it means I never carry a separate purse since keys, phone, wallet can go right in.
It's also got a padded shoulder. I like it, especially now that DD's big it helps cushion her weight some. But some people also find that bulky & dislike it. I guess it comes down to if you want a sling that is light for occasional use, or a sling that's a little more bulky but also feels more "deluxe"
My deciding factor with a ring sling is the shoulder style. Maya's seems to work for me. Sleeping Baby Productions ring slings are inexpensive and the (pleated) shoulder is great. What brands are you considering?
