PW: Think I just lost my mucous plug?

Sorry - being a total post whore today. Obviously this is totally TMI, too! when I went to the restroom there was a good amount of pink mucous. Then when I wiped again there was red all through it with some little red clots. I'm thinking my internal just disturbed things and that's why it happened. Does that sound right? Bleh! Haven't seen any blood since 11 weeks so it really made me take notice!

    I never lost mine. Could be your mp our cervical irritation from your internal. Your mp can reform so try not to worry if it is that :)

    Probably irritation from the internal.  No worries, doesn't mean that the baby is coming now or anything.

    As a side note a pt once brought her mp to my office in a ziplock "in case you wanted to see it".

    Exactly, I think that's the face I made.  It was dried up and crunchy, I just took it and threw it directly in the garbage.

    Ahh! That's so gross and so funny! Thank you and thanks to the others who responded. I'm not worried, just curious. The human body - it's a fascinating and often disgusting thing :)

    I don't know anything about losing a mucous plug but hoping you can cook your little girl for a few more weeks so you feel more ready!  You're getting there!  :)

    It's possible they just stirred things up in there - one of my internals had me spotting after. Like a pp said - don't sweat it. The plugs don't mean anything and can actually grow back! I find the body amazing as well. : )
