Now no wet diapers after 11+ hours of sleep (+not eating+explosive diapers) repost from 3-6

To recap, DD isn't eating much lately, yesterday she ate about 15 oz, day before about 8-10 etc.  She is having explosive poops (like up to arm pits... fun) but those are the only two symptoms.... until now.    We did take her to the pedi on Tuesday (day before yesterday), she checked out pretty good, happy as a clam, actually peed while we were there etc. No fever, no ear infection, no throat issues..got a thorough check out.   So pedi gives list of things to watch out for and of course one is decreased urine. So yesterday morning, wake up to change her and she has a dry diaper after 11 hours of sleep.   Then again this morning, same thing!  But she has nooooo problem having massive leaking poops.  So we have another call into the pedi.   I have heard that babies can change their eating habits and be ok but with the diarrhea and lack of interest in food and now decrease urine...WTH is going on?  Oh and no she will not take Pedialyte either (makes a funny face, I'm assuming it tastes like crap).  Again her mood is fine so far.  I think the doc said she had no problem with us giving a little apple juice but I'm a bit scared to introduce that too soon (but she has had prune juice before in the past for constipation issues & she has been on rice cereal in her bottles since early on)    Has anyone else had any similar experiences?  I wish I had a magic eight ball :)

    I would call the pedi and report the decreased urine.  If nothing else, it will ease your mind.

    I don't know what to tell you when you combine the decreased urine with the other symptopms. But I did want to tell you that since DS started STTN, there have been several mornings that his diaper has been dry.  I just figure he's sleeping so soundly that he doesn't pee.  If she's peeing just fine during the day, then maybe that's the explanation?

    I still wouldn't hesitate to call the Pedi as much as you need to in order to ease your mind and feel confident that she is taken care of.

    similar to MommyJenny, DD will wake with a semi dry diaper and I usally try to give her 5-10 to full wake before I change/feed her. Have had a hand ful of times that she pees as I am changing her, so now I try to wait.  But I'd still call for peace of mind!

    I would definitely call the pedi. Especially with it being so hot. I would think apple juice would not be good since apples make you poo more?? I am not a Dr. though. Will she take the pedialyte with a dropper or is that how you're been giving it to her? Poor thing, keep us posted please.
