I wrote this morning that its my birthday and i was throwing a hissy fit because my carpis don't fit. Well I got a pair on (thanks to the hair tie trick). We went to our 9:30 scan and they found hydrops. The babys heart was barely beating.
They sent us to the specialist for a second opinion and she confirmed its severe fully body hydrops with a large cystic hygroma.
Our last baby - a girl- whom we lost in March had the same thing. We went through tons of genetic testing and were told it was a 1 in 10,000 chance it would happen again. All genetic testign pointed to a random thing. A fluke if you will.
I guess not. I have a D&C scheduled for 3:15pm and we're heart broken.

Oh, I am so, so sorry for you & your husband. I wish there was something I could do or say to ease your pain.
DH became a double above knee amputee with traumatic brain injury (TBI) - July 2009
