Our girls were Di/Di and now that they are here I'm like 99.9% certain they are not ID, but since we don't know for sure I don't know how to answer people when they ask. I usually go into the "well they were di/di so probably not but we don't know for sure because it's all based on when the egg splits...." and people get that dumbfounded "I just wanted a yes or no answer" look on their face, haha. So should I just say no, they are fraternal?
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!

Re: How do you answer the "are they ID?" quest. when you don't know?
Yep - I would just say they are frat.
Did you get their blood type from the hospital?

I think most people don't understand that the only way to be sure is a blood test. Add it to the list of things people don't know about twins.
I'd just say they're frat.
Before we found out, I finally just started saying they were fraternal. I would say well we aren't sure yet but most likely fraternal and then cut it down to "fraternal"
I was 99.9% sure they were fraternal but got our DNA test results back and they are ID (i know in my siggy pic they look ID but I swear they normally look fraternal) lol
Honestly, before I knew for sure, I just answered with whatever I felt like saying at the time. Mostly I said fraternal because that's what I honestly thought (I was wrong) but sometimes I said identical. I figured, they don't know the difference so I will say whatever I want.
ETA: Rangergal, FWIW, I always assumed your girls were ID.
Before the boys were tested, I would say, "We think they're identical, but we're not sure." You could just say, "We think they're fraternal, but we're not sure."
But seriously, the questions (oh, the questions!) was the reason we got them tested. I hated not having an answer.
