Just curious. My baby is seven weeks old and fitting into 3-6 month stuff now, which is a little alarming because most of the 3-6 month stuff we have is long-sleeved, since I expected she'd be average sized like my son. She's very very chubby (rolls everywhere, giant cheeks) and I think it's part of the reason she sleeps so much better than my first did-after she got back to birth weight (8 lbs) she started sleeping six hours or so at night.
The cloth-diapering makes a difference, I know, but her tummy actually is big enough to fill out the clothes and I can't get her chubby arms through the 0-3 onesies anymore. MIL actually suggested I eat lettuce for a week to slim her down because she's EBF, which obviously I know is completely ridiculous.

i'd say youre lucky! don't restrict your diet - thats CRAZY! silly MIL!
your baby girl is healthy and eating great - she'll slim out when she starts moving more. your milk is obviously coming in really well and the fact that she's sleeping through the night is wonderful! don't change anything!!
IMO - and i mean this in the best way possible - i think youre looking for a problem that isn't there!
DS is also a good size boy
He was 7.10 at birth and at his one month visit he was 12.1 !!!! He is EBF and eats about every 3 hours on demand during the day and sleeps about 5-6 hours at night. The pedi said he is healthy and growing appropriately. He was 95th percentile for weight and height. Cant wait to see what he is at 2 months, he is now 6 weeks and I know he has grown even more
I love his chubby cheeks and rolls
SOme people have their own oppinions, I get tired of hearing people say ....." hes huge" or " are you overfeeding him" or " Oh my goodness, how old is he". But I know he is healthy and thriving so I try not to let it bother me
This DD moved into 3-6 months old last week at 8 weeks. She was 8lbs 3oz at birth.
#2 moved into 3-6mo at 10 weeks- she was 6lbs 10oz at birth.
#3 moved into 3-6 mo at 5 weeks old- she was 9lbs 11oz at birth.
I make big girls
They are always in the 90-99%ile for the first couple of years. But now #1 is very slim and in the 50%ile.
No need to slim down your baby- enjoy the rolls!
DS is 12 lbs 14oz and is 5 weeks old. He is now wearing 6 month clothes in carters. I also have lots of fall clothes that probably will not fit because they will be too small. I'm going to try to exchange some of them for bigger sizes.
Wow! I couldn't even imagine!
My two month old barely fills out the 0-3 clothes, they are swimming on her still!
I LOVE fat babies! As long as you're not overfeeding her (which, if your EBF you can't overfeed) and your ped isn't worried, I would just be happy.
My baby isn't super huge, but he is big! He is in the 99% for height at 25 inches long, and 13 pounds at 9 weeks old. Hes about to grow out of his 3 month clothes.
