LO obsessed with certain items in house?

Above our living room couch we have two black speakers installed on the wall on both sides.  LO is OBSESSED WITH THEM!  I'm assuming it's because of the contrast of black against the white (I know they can see black/white best), but it's so funny.  He just looks back and forth at them constantly.  He looks more at the speakers than he does at our faces. DH and I joke that the speakers are his best friends.  Anyone else's babies obsessed with certain items in the house?

    Haha that's cute!  DD is totally obsessed with a framed picture we have over our bed.  I also think it's because of the contrast between the black frame and the light beige wall.  She just stares and stares at it and randomly smiles while looking at it.  Every time she sees it, it's like she's seeing it for the first time!

    My DD loves the black and white prints we have hanging on either side of our bed and the black and white prints hanging behind the chair I nurse her in that's in her room. She just stares at them...I'm not even sure she blinks. She gets so distracted by them while eating I have to cover her eyes so she'll get back at the task at hand.

    We have a picture of MH's town in Mexico behind our couch and LO loves looking at it.  It also has a black frame against a light wall, so maybe that's it.  We always ask him if he wants to go to Mexico and he will smile like crazy.  It's the sweetest thing.

    YES! barrett LOVES to stare at a picture that hangs to the side of the recliner i feed him in! i love when he smiles at it and i tease him he keeps smiling at "that ugly picture daddy hung on the wall" :) too funny!

    DH's computer tower is on a shelf behind the couch, and D likes to stare at the light on the front of it. His other favourite thing is the ceiling fan when it's on.

    DS loves the ceiling fan in our living room. If he's fussy I just walk under it with him and he stops crying and stares at it, totally mesmerized!

    lol @ "speakers are his best friends"...too cute! our LO is obsessed with any light fixture in the house or at the shelves over the chair in the nursery. MH was just saying this morning how she prefers to look them more than him. ;)

    DS is obsessed with the lamp that sits next to the couch I sit on to feed him.  I thought he looked at it because of the light but now that I think of it, the lamp is black with a white shade.

    the nightlight above the changing table and 2 empty picture frames in the living room we were going to put her pics in- dark frames, white wall-- we keep saying we have to leave them empty or she'll have nothing to do!

    We have a painting of a horse (black background, white horse, with a red tassel around its neck) behind our couch that DD is obsessed with.  It's funny b/c DH and I have never been huge fans of the painting ourselves (it's nice and all but we're not horse people or anything) but my grandmother bought it for me (she lives overseas) and my mom had to roll up the canvas and bring it back in her luggage then have it put back on a frame- so since everyone went to so much trouble to give it to me thinking it was such a great painting I have kept it around.  My mom is visiting and is just tickled pink that DD loves the horse painting- it's pretty cute ;)
