What do you think of this name? Whenever I see it, I'm intrigued. But I'm not really sure if I like it or not. Is it any more feminine or less harsh than Harper? Which do you like better?

I really like it. My DH thinks it's too associated with Nicole Richie, but I doubt most people think about that. It's on our list, although I don't think we'll ever use it.
I like it better than Harper mainly because it's less popular.
I haven't seen this name come up since pregnancy began - and I love it. Much less harsh on the ears than Harper. Has a soothing quality which I think is rare for an H name.
I like Harlow, but I agree, in my mind it is associated with Nicole Ritchie. I like both Harlow and Harper, though probably give Harlow a slight edge. I prefer Marlo (like my cousin or Marlo Thomas) to both.
I love the name Harlow!!!! And frankly I don't care that it's associated with Nicole Ritchie. She went from crazy teen to totally loving mom. Not sure what she's up to these days but she has always made it clear that being a good mom is very important to her! Go for it! (way better than Harper IMO)

Love It!! Who cares if Nicole Ritchie named her kid Harlow, its still an awesome name. And Victoria Bekham just named her kid Harper, so I mean both names are celeb babies now!
I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't like Harlow at all - it doesn't sound feminine or even remotely pleasant to me. Harper would probably be NMS, except that I associate it with Harper Lee, so to me it has a bit of a romantic Southern vibe and I actually kind of like it for a unisex, surname-y girl name. For that reason it also seems less trendy to me, even though it's more popular than Harlow.

This! Harlow is definitely nicer sounding, but I'm one of those "sounds way too much like harlot" for me. I think it became a girl name for 30's actress Jean Harlow. Don't even get me started on Harper, and it's actually an old family name of mine. It's becoming so common, it kind of makes me sad...

Harlow is a really pretty name. I think it flows a little better with your last name than Harper, too...Harper Pond has a bit too much percussive in it, IMO. Harlow Pond sounds soft and lovely.
I like PP's suggestion of Marlo, too. If you wanted to keep with the last-namey sounding first name, you could spell it Marlowe, although I think I like the traditional (without the "w-e") better.
Another option...maybe Marley? Mmmm...maybe not. People will say it's "like the dog in the movie."
I prefer Harlow to Harper, but I still don't really like it.

I like it...it is different and I think more feminine than Harper.
Ya, Nicole Richie named her kid that but really, will you be hanging out with the Madden Family any time soon?
I like Harlow much more than Harper.

I like Harlow better than Harper..
but that is our primeminsters last name (harper) and he's a bit of a so and so...
so yeah
Harlow was my grandfather's name so I've always thought of it as a masculine name. I was puzzled when Nicole Richie named her DD Harlow.
I do like Harper; it's one of the few "trendy" names that actually appeals to me.
