My husband and I just experienced our first time "trying" the other night. By trying I mean I am off birth control and I will just leave it at that without details. Anyways, I say sort of because I didnt do things they tell you to do when trying like stay laying, tilt your pelvis up..ect..ect. But as we know some people get pregnant without doing all this when they dont even know this so their always may be a chance it worked. We are really trying mid August, but just thought we would try once and see what happens...it was during my O week but not on or a day before or after the main day.

Also Fertility Friends is an amazing online way to chart your cycles, it can help you to know if you are ovulating and what your cycles are like. It's addictive so be careful
Your post is strong evidence to the contrary. The link really is full of useful info - I strongly recommend you check it out.
TTC #1 since March 2011

Hmm.. ok I tried. I can do better.
Start by learning proper sentence structure, the proper use of commas, and the how to correctly use "commonly misused words" such as their/there.
If you chart, link it to your signature. If you do not chart, you do not know when you O'd.
I hope that helps
You lie. Read the link.
I think Ladybug assumed you were a newbie (as did I) because your statement that you are only "sort of trying" because you don't tilt your pelvis screams newbie
No worries, you don't need to lay in bed and tilt your pelvis up to get pregnant. Welcome and good luck!

OK, I'm going to assume that the details that you chose to leave out were the fact that you're charting, using OPK's and know that laying with your hips elevated is just a recipe for a UTI. Otherwise, I'm not sure how you know it was your O week or if your timing was ok.
GL.
Please don't prop. Google the speed at which sperm comes flying at your cervix and save yourself the trouble. Good luck!

OP, you don't have to prop your hips or lie down after sex in order to get KU. The good sperm will get where they need to go so if you want to get up, pee, vacuum, watch TV, eat a sandwich please do so. The newbie link ( know you're not a newbie) explains some of this. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP soon!
On a side note, does anyone else remember the poster who used to 'wipe out' after sex because she and her husband believed in fate and didn't want to try too hard for a baby? Was that on this board or did I read it somewhere else?
Life Quotes
Do I even want to ask what the H that means?
Are you going to post every time you have sex? Just wanted a heads up.

Oh and getting pregnant a month earlier than we planned wouldn't really be a oops baby lol...anyways sorry for writing this post, I guess I was just excited that we tried and wanted to write it out.
::Sigh::
Here we go again. OP posts, people snark, OP gets panties in a wad.
You don't need to stop posting, but when you intro like this, expect people to think you're new, and offer advice. There was really no need for the "I'm no newbie" response. You seemed uninformed in your OP, so people offered a place to get answers.
Oh if I did that, I would be way past 2,000 posts! Good idea!
On the up side I have had sex 8 times this week and its only Thursday! Next time, I am propping my hips! Let me call the doctor for an antibiotic now!
I really hope I'm not the only one who remembers this.
The poster believed that 'things happen for a reason' and she and her DH wanted fate to decided when they would have a baby. So after sex she used to wipe her vag out to 'make it harder for the sperm'. It was a brilliant mess of a post. I'll see if I can find it.
I totally remember that. It was like the anti-turkey-baster.
That sounds like a fantastically stupid must read. Please link if you can find it!

You're welcome.
Okay this is hilarious. Oh the characters that come out on the internet.
I must have missed this one .. because I don't remember this. Wipe out? Like, after using the toilet wiping?
How did everyone miss this gem? She's got the exact month of her BFP down! She's the new JenniRenni.
This
Who needs a turkey baster when you have a pre-seed applicator!
Good work, detective! I couldn't find it. I'm so grossed out by the fact she also uses the phrase "goes in me". In my mind that doesn't mean what she thinks it means.

**************************TICKER WARNING**********************
I just wanted to say that I remembered that post but had forgotten two important details:
1) It was posted on Oct. 2011, my board!
2) Her OP says her H "decides" when they have sex!
That is all. Carry on.

I'm done with all this P&R bullshizzzzzzz
That whole thread is full of win. I'm laughing so hard right now. I love internet idiots, they make me happy!!
You're a peach aren't you.

I totally remember this. She was completely crazycakes! She also happened to be using OPKs (I think) and charting her cycles without telling her husband because he didn't want to be "trying". She's a legend!
I'm so glad I came back to read this post.
I definitely remember the wipe-out girl. She said she did it with a towel, inside and out. She shoved a towel up her vagina. ::shudders::
