Anyone on aspirin when PG?

The other day I called my nurse with a list of questions for when DH and I start TTC again. The question she couldn't answer(had to ask doc) was when I was supposed to start aspirin. She called back the next day and left a message saying I should start taking a baby aspirin, daily, a month before we start.

?- do I stay on it once i get a BFP?? I know all the baby books say it isnt safe, but what about special circumstances.

If you were on aspirin, how long did you take it for?

    I took it the whole pg per my doctor's instructions.
    BFP #1 9/23/09. Missed MC 10w3d D&C 11/3/09.

    BFP #2 4/13/10. Bridget born 12/28/10

    I took it while TTC and throughout my pregnancy. But I was dx w/ homoz. MTHFR, which is a clotting disorder.

    You should call back and have it clarified.

    I agree, and I will closer to when we TTC, but for now I am just trying to get a feel for what is the norm.

    My blood work came back neg for clotting disorder, but my doc still suspects 'something' so aspirin it is.

    I took it until 6 weeks PP. I also EBF. Pedi and OB said since it was such a low dose it wouldn't hurt anything. The books are talking about regular dosages and frequency.

    i went it on it right after i was dx with MTHFR and am supposed to be on it for life, HOWEVER because i'm still breastfeeding i don't take it since it has been associated with reye's syndrome in children.
    once BF'ing is done i will resume it.
    that said i was on it the whole pregnancy as well as lovenox. as far as i know it doesn't cause problems while pg..

    Nov-Jan - IUI - with femara and trigger = BFN
    back to TTC naturally on our own hoping for another miracle.

    Been on it since MTHFR dx and will be on it forever. Still taking during pregnancy and have been told anything about stopping.

    My doctor wanted it in my system at least 30 days before ttc so we started then (or really just tta for an additional month) and then continued taking it until 6w post delivery. I need to speak with a specialist because I think I probably should take it daily for life.
    After 2 m/cs, dx October 2008 with hetero factor v leiden & mthfr & low progesterone; third time was the charm - BFP 3/19/09 on first cycle of clomid. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I took it prior to conceiving DS and prior to this pregnancy.  With DS I was instructed to keep taking it through out my pregnancy.  I think I stopped shortly before my scheduled induction.  I'm still taking it this pregnancy.

    The baby aspirin, in my case, is to prevent a clotting issue which would be more "unsafe" than the affects of aspirin alone.  It's used to treat and it's a baby aspirin.  You wouldn't be aloud to take an adult dose for a headache - that would be unsafe.

    That is just my situation.  Please consult your doctor to be sure of what they want you to do.

    [/    RA with Sjogren's Syndrome. Risk of heart block in newborn. Age: DH and I are both 38.
    BFP #1: 11/25/2007, EDD 7/28/2008 - Missed m/c (blighted ovum) 12/6/2007 6w3d, D&C 1/3/2008.
    BFP #2: 4/2008 - Natural m/c at 6w.
    Met with RE in 5/2008 full cycle analysis and SA normal. Not considered high risk for blood clots but prescribed 1 baby aspirin a day precautionary during TTC and Progesterone suppositories during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
    BFP #3: 10/17/2008. EDD 6/23/2009,  Third time's the charm! Healthy baby boy born 6/27/2009 via emergency c-section.
    BFP #4: 6/14/2011. Healthy baby boy born 2/16/2012 via elective c-section.
    BFP #5: 1/15/2014. EDD 9/22/2014.     2/17/14:.We have a BABY!!! Heart rate 167 and measuring on time. 3/10/14 u/s #2 baby measuring perfectly at 12 weeks at heart rate of 166. NT u/s was normal. Maternit21 blood draw on 3/5/14. Results back on 3/19 - Normal.  It's a BOY!!!  4/10/14 at 16 weeks, 3 days discovered baby's heart stopped at 15 weeks, 6 days. D&C 4/11/14.  Pathology results were all normal.  New information on 8/11/14 - blood test revealed 1/3 of babys blood was in mine caused, most likely, by a tear in the placenta from extreme coughing.  Doctor believes this to be the cause of death.  Repeat D&C and Hysteroscopy scheduled for 8/19/14.  My Chart

    I wasn't told I needed to take it while TTC but started taking it the day I found out I was pg.  I'm hetero MTHFR and while my docs (genetic counsellor/MFM/OB) said I didn't "have" to but I could if it made me feel better.  Uh, yeah it did.  I was told to stop taking it a week before my planned c/section.  I went into labor the day I had planned to stop.  I had a c/s that day and there was absolutely no issue that I ended up taking it up till the day I delivered.
