*MrsNJswimmer*

I've done WW three times - first time was before my wedding - I lost 50 pounds (!), next was after my second child, I lost about 20 pounds, and now I've lost 23 pounds.  What I learned the second time around was a little "trick" - if you choose a very, very attainable lifetime goal (for instance, I chose the highest weight I can be for my height) - you get to lifetime faster, and then can go/weigh in for free after that.  My personal goal is to lose 5 - 10 more pounds so I have a really good buffer from my lifetime goal.

You can set that goal any time with the meeting leader, though I know a lot of leaders will delay talking about a goal until you've been in the program a while.  I think that they don't want people to hyper-focus on a goal weight that may seem really far away - so they tell you to concentrate on your 5% and 10% goals.

  • ok thanks.  I hit both the 10% and the 5% and I picked a 15% to work toward next.  We have so many people in the at work program who are making lifetime that they are nearly out of a job here.

Did they give you that link, or did you find it on your own?  Or did they suggest anything else to help you set that weight?

  • When I did WW the second time it used to be part of the literature they gave you.  Maybe it's not anymore?  It basically lined up with that link... hmmm.... I haven't really kept all my literature from them, but maybe they don't look at BMI in WW anymore?

  • finally found it - the getting started book was all about the new program, but I never thought to look on the back of the weight tracker - that's where it is.

    Thanks!
