Re: Recommend your double strollers..
Combi twin sport
Pros: Under $200 at babies r us. Takes 2 seconds to fold up and fits easily in the trunk of my compact car with room to spare. I like the side by side model because the kids can look at each other. Fits through all doorways. Has pockets for storage behind both seats at the top of the stroller that are easily accessed to fit water bottle for me/bottle for the baby/snacks and sippy cup for my toddler.
Cons: Sun canopies are worthless. Storage space under stroller is small. No cup holder.
city mini
pros-it fits through doors, its light weight, easy to close up, 300$ or less if u find it on sale
cons-it doesnt really have much storage room or a cupholder
We have 2:
Bumbleride Indie Twin
Pros: it is just awesome
Has air filled tires so it goes over bumpy pavement or all terrain well. Can be used for light jogging. Comes with cup holder, car seat adapter, rain cover, and tire pump. Great sunshades. Fits through all doors (we have had it for over a year and I haven't found a door I can't fit through, yet!). Lots of storage space under the stroller
Cons: It is big when folded up - takes up the whole trunk. Not a keep in the car and bring to the mall or on vacation stroller! Expensive
Maclaren Twin Techno (we got it used off of Craigslist for $50 - otherwise they are really expensive)
Pros: Small folded up, can keep in the car to bring to the mall or to the coffee shop, etc. Can take it on vacation and still fit all of the rest of the things we need to bring! Kids seem comfortable in there. Lots of storage space under the seats and behind them.
Cons: Definitely 2 handed steering and not nearly as smooth of a ride as the Indie Twin. No cupholder for me.
So the indie twin is our everyday stroller, and the Maclaren is the one we keep in the car to go out and about. I could never use the Maclaren as our everyday stroller!
If you dont mind my asking, what carseat do you have?
I have the graco snugride, and even though it's technically not designed for the combi, it fits perfectly.
In BRU before I purchased the stroller, I grabbed a graco snugride off the shelf and tested it out. I threw the stroller around violently (kid free, of course. lol!) and the carseat didnt budge. I've even "off roaded" with this stroller, and DD was fine in it. The only thing is that it fits forward facing and not rear facing in the stroller, which is kind of annoying since you cant see the baby while you're pushing the stroller.
I'd test it out with your seat and see what happens.
We have the Chicco Keyfit 30. I have used the car seat with the stroller once when I needed to take DD to a drs. appt and had no interest in pushing her a single stroller and carrying the car seat like I had done at the last appt. I was able to get the car seat into the stroller but didn't feel comfortable since there was no locking mechanism and truthfully if my toddler were to throw a tantrum she could have shoved the seat out of the stroller altogether.
Overall I like the Combi enough to keep it and think it'll be a great quick trip stroller for when my kids are older but right now I am wanting a larger sturdier stroller and is compatible with the car seat we have.

What did you hate about the city select? We're also strongly considering this stroller, but am hesitant due to the cost. I love that both kids can face out, but that it's not a double wide. I don't think my toddler would tolerate looking at the seat in front of him.
I am in love with the indie twin, it is so amazing! It is big when folded up but I have the room in my car so I don't mind. It is worth every penny, I love the adjustable handle bars because with many strollers the bar was to low for my husband (6'6") and sometimes they were even to low for me (5'11") There is lots of basket room! I love this stroller to pieces. The shades are huge, they block the sun from my daughters eyes and I recomend it to everyone with 2+ kids.
I thought it was way too long. Plus, we tried it in the store with our daughter (I was still pregnant with DS), but with all configurations with and without carseat and most of them, you could not recline both kids at same time. Plust it was really hard to steer. I just found that Britax was so much easier to push and steer since it's shorter. My toddler doesn't mind sitting in the back at all. When DS is not with us, she sits in the front. When DS is with us, she automatically climbs in the back. She looks out the side.
