My husband and I were actually talking about this the other night. We couldn't decide if we would do February 28th or March 1st for the baby's birthday on non-leap years.
It means that since there is an extra day in February, you would subtract a day for any due date after the 29th. Most of the due date calculators take it into consideration, but the wheel at the doctor's office does not.
Ok so I am ashamed to admit it, but--- I was SO confused as to why dr's wheel and online calculator were not the same! LOL! Can I blame it on pregnancy brain!?
So I guess that means I'm actually due March 9th. I am so ditzy lately--- I apologize in advance....
so this finally makes sense to me, i knew it was a leap year but didn't think about it much. i was always told to get your due date you subtract 3 months from your lmp date then add a week. so last time i was 10/9 and due 7/16. this time was 6/11 and due 3/17 - so now i know why not the 18th!
am i the only one who thinks being a leap year baby would suck? you would never get to celebrate your REAL bday? and which day would you pick, 2/28 or 3/1?
Re: 2012 is leap year
I assume she meant on the bump.
So did I. With the amount of pregnant women on this board and on February, at least one person is bound to give birth that day.
