Am I just not with the times, or what? I know its not because I'm old because DH's older cousins are constantly posting these pictures...but anyway...what's the deal?? I don't get it! I have facebook friends who have whole albums dedicated to planking. I even saw some kids (college age-ish) doing it at the park last week. But I don't get the point. Can someone fill me in??

I don't get it either. I honestly had to google it the other day and read the wiki page because I didn't get the point. Apparently there isn't one. It's just a silly game where you post pictures of you in that position and it is funny? I still don't get it really but, I am sure my parents said the same thing about things I did when I was in college. I can't think of any now but, surely I did some.

My DH's work has a FB page dedicated to planking at their office. They do it all the time. He even got Ridge to do it on the top of the couch. Weird.

Personally - I actually do think it's kind of funny BUT the craziest part of all the planking madness is that people have actually died while attempting a planking. I think there have been multiple deaths. Now, that is just sad and ridiculous to go to that extreme when it's just supposed to be a funny photo.

I part of my brain thinks it is the stupidest shiiite I have ever heard of....but another part of my brain LOL's everytime I see a pic. Maybe because I only have 1 fb friend that does it? I think it my newsfeed was filled with db's posting planking pics I would think it was more annoying than funny.

I have friends who have fb albums with planking pics and I find them hilarious mostly because of the captions that they add to the pics.

I've been trying to get the boys to plank around our house, but they aren't really interested. I've only been able to capture one picture of Jack planking. Ha!

I work at a college, so this stuff happens all. the. time. The most annoying is when they do it in the middle of a crowded walkway because "it's funny."

And yeah, Owling is the hot thing now. Lame.

So funny, the one guy that I know that does it on fb JUST posted a pic of owling. I sorta love him for being so cutting edge. And by cutting edge, I mean "a 31 year old loser that squats on top of vending machines to take a picture."

Ok, I had no clue what either of these things were. But at least now I understand why I saw some random people laying facedown in the middle of Peachtree St. and taking pictures before the Peachtree on July 4th! I thought they were just crazy tourists, haha!

A coworker of mine posted pics of two guys planking across the aisle in the open overhead bins the other day, while the plane was boarding. You could see all the other passengers staring at them like WTF? It was really funny and impressive. That's some core muscles!
