I can't decide which booster seat to get for DD. I have it narrowed it done to the Britax Frontier 85 SICT and the Graco Nautilus. I can't decide which one would be the best option.
If you have either of these seat do you love it or hate it and why?
We have the Britax Frontier. Frankly, they are both good. I went with the Britax because it was on sale ($200) and my DD#1 wanted a pink one. It goes up to 120lbs - much higher than the Graco, but I don't think that matters since my kids are on the low end of the weight charts.
The Graco breaks down into a booster seat (no high back), but the Britax doesn't at all.

If your child is on the tall end you might want to consider the frontier since it has a higher harness height and becomes the tallest high back booster on the market. If you have an average or smaller child or a lower budget the nautilus is a great bet (the top harness slot is 18 inches instead of 20). The nautilus becomes both a high back booster and a backless booster whereas the frontier does not become a no back booster, but the frontier's high back is tall enough to last until a child is ready to move into an adult seatbelt without a booster and allows you to bypass the no back booster stage entirely.
I follow car-seat.org quite a bit and there's no evidence at this point that a child who uses a booster properly and is of the appropriate age is any less safe than a child in a harnessed seat. The main difference is whether you can trust them to sit correctly all the time and not unbuckle themselves during the ride.
We have been comparing these two car seats (not the SITC version, thought.) My son is on the taller/larger side, so we're going with the Frontier. It has an extra setting for the crotch strap. I read that some bigger children end up sitting on the Nautilus strap which can be uncomfortable. We take long car trips, and our current Britax seat has been wonderful for that.
We have the Britax Frontier and love it. Bought it on sale so it wasn't that much more then the Graco. Our previous seats were Britax so we were happy with the brand and wanted to stick with it.
If you're going to go with the Nauti, wait for the Graco Argos which should be out in September. It's the new and improved Nautilus (most notably it has a no rethread adjustable harness).
