Now I know the obvious answer is, "When LO is 3 months old," but I'm wondering if you look for certain cues? Like LO is getting frustrated by how long it takes to finish a bottle, etc? Or do you literally just wait till LO hits the right age.
I switched at 6 weeks and I noticed she was sucking like crazy to get the formula and it seemed to tire her out. I think it might have been a little soon b/c she drooled a little more that usual. But she adjusted within a week.
My daughter is 12wks 3 days and I tried to switch tonight for the first time. I thought my daughter was doing great. Took almost 3oz rather quickly and then I ended up wearing over half of that. Guess its just not time in our house yet..
we use dr. browns and we are using the level 2 nipples (3+ mo) and dd is 10 weeks. we've been using them for about a week now. we are feeding her the AR which is thicker formula, so we changed nipples. she was struggling and getting worn out after only an ounce and wouldn't eat any more. now she does great.
