For those who use a step can as a pail...

How large is the one you use? I've been using a re-purposed trashcan from my house that's been good with our stash of nb prefolds/fitteds. But as we move away from those and start using OS pockets, I'm having to cram the diapers in and am looking to buy a bigger can that's not ginormous. Any idea of how much (gallons/liters) your step can holds? We wash every other day (or 2.5 days, when I forget). Thanks!

I got a slim can at Target, that is similar to this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hefty-10.8-Gallon-Slim-Fit-Step-On-Wastebasket-Black/14170567?sourceid=1500000000000003260370&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=14170567 but in white. 10.8 gallons sounds about right. I was looking for something between 10-13 gallons. I can wash every other day with two kids in diapers.

This is the kind of pail I have too. I use a Planet Wise pail liner in it and it fits perfectly. I wash every other day.
