Parking at BRU

Babies R Us has front row parking for expecting moms... Now when I was pregnant, it was nice, but I would usually park regular parking because walking is good for you... Now that I have Lily, I really wish they would make that parking for moms with infants as well... I mean I have a baby, usually in her car seat that I have to carry in... Plus right now it's soo hot, I want to get her out of the sun and into the air conditioning as soon as possible. When it was cold, I would like to get her out of the cold/possibly rain as soon as possible... Not have to carry her accross the parking lot.  (when possible, I leave her at home, but this is not always an option)

Re: Parking at BRU

  • The one Best Buy (out of the 5 in the area) has 1 parking spot  for "Expecting Moms or Parents with young children" I love it!! Best Buy of all places!

  • I agree with you.  As often as I visit BRU, I consider parking in an expectant mom spot.  There are about 10 of them at our small store, and usually 8 of them are open.  I doubt there will be a rush of expectant moms all at once where I would end up knocking one out of place.  So far I have resisted the temptation.  Perhaps next time I'm there (probably sometime this week) I will make the suggestion to the customer service department.

Right?! I never used them when I was pregnant. I always figured it this way - if I'm able to go to a store to walk around and shop, I'm able to park in a regular parking spot in the lot.

But with an infant? I always look for the closest spot. It's much harder to deal with taking an infant shopping than to walk a little while pregnant.

The BRU I go to has about 8 as well and there is never ANYONE in them. I think supermarkets should have mom's w/toddlers & babies parking too. Sometimes when I go to Publix (supermarket) I take her in the carseat and they ALWAYS take all the carts in from the parking lot. I like to park next to the shopping cart corral at Walmart, Target, wherever, put her in one and off we go but no they are too efficient there.

  • i haven't been to BRU in awhile, but the CVS and the Hannafords grocery store I go to have them. They are nice, especially in this heat!

  • That is another reason why I LOVE Buy Buy Baby! There special parking is for expecting moms or parents with newborns.

All the ones here have spots for new and expectant mothers. It's great! I wonder why it's not that way everywhere...
  • Most of our major grocery stores, malls and Walmarts have them for parents & baby parking - only BRU has them for expectant moms.  I agree with you ladies though - I'd rather have them now... I did take advantage though while pg b/c my sciatic pain was killer - 5 minutes and I'd be done - so the least walking, the better!

  • I have yet to find anywhere in my town that has either (expectant or moms with newborns). Not even our BRU has them Sad

  • Ha!  We adopted our daughter, but I would park in the BRU expectant moms section (if there were more than one spot available).  I WAS an expectant mom ;-)
