OPK Question...

When do you usually start testing with OPK's, before I was testing around CD12-14 but since my cycles are little off still (from 28-29 days to now 32-34 days) I'm not sure if I should be testing earlier and for a longer period of time. I'm on CD7 now and I ordered some OPK and PG tests from amazon and they will be here tomorrow. Also I'm trying to temp this cycle but it has been so hard because my sleep cycles are no where near regular esp. since I work night shift and my schedule changes. Hopefully I can get the hang of it...any advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

    Since the OPKs from Amazon are so cheap, I'd start testing around CD 11--and 2-3X a day.

    Keep testing after a positive until you get a negative. 

    I liked to confirm a + from a Wondfo with a Smiley from a CBE one (they are more expensive, so I only used them for confirmation).

    I agree with kathy. CD11 sounds good if you O mid cycle. I don't O usually until CD20, but I'll probably start using OPKs the week before (since cycles can so wonky after m/c). The internet cheapies are great because I dont' feel as guilty using so many. Then the smilies are so rewarding when I get close to O.

    This was my first cycle after my m/c so I started with opks on CD10.  I used the CBE and got a smiley on CD15.

    I started around cd10. This was my first month since m/c charting so I wasn't sure when I would ovulate. Seems I still ovulate around the same time (cd 17/18).
