My NT was two part. The first part is the scan itself - where they'll tell you if the neck and nose measurement look good - they'll sometimes tell you the exact measurement (which meant nothing to me) - I figured - under 2 - great! Then they'll take your blood, where they will measure for HcG levels and some other things. My doc called me in a week with the results - but last year it took almost 2 1/2 weeks to hear back. Hope all goes well tomorrow!!
If you had the blood work done in advance they should tell you everything then..if not they should tell you results of ultrasound and I got my blood test results on the phone about 3 days later

During the scan the tech told me all the measurements, and that everything looked within the normal range. Said it would take a few days for the blood work to come back and that the doctor would call me with the full results within one week, which he did.
With mine, a tech did the scan, then the MFM Dr. came in to talk. He went over the results of the scan and we discussed his recommendations for the follow-up blood work (there were different choices). This talk will include a preliminary assessment of the baby's risk for several NTD based on the ultrasound.
After the bloodwork returns (you'll have to get some that day and some in a few weeks, depending on what you choose), they will let you know your total assessment of risk, which is more accurate than just the scan will give you, as it combines the scan's results with the blood's results.
I think everyone has had something different go on for them.....For ours we met with our doc right after, but thats when we were seeing our high risk OB still......GL though!

I also think it differs from practice to practice. I had the blood drawn in advance. The scan was done with the tech, who told us the measurement and pointed out the nasal bone. She left the room for a few minutes to run the results against the blood work and came back, and said everything looked great and gave us the odds. That was all. I never heard from the OB, but asked at my next regular appointment. She did a quick look at the results in my chart and confirmed everything looked good and that was that.

At kaiser, they have you come in and do BW a week in advance, so that after the scan, you can meet with a genetic counselor immediately following who explains all the results and your odds ratios.
Then you have the option to do a 2nd round of BW at 16 weeks if you choose (we plan to).
Our NT scan is tomorrow, FX that everything looks good!
My NT is part of a quad screen. The day I had the NT scan they told me the nuchal fold thickness and I could see that there was a nasal bone. They also told me the heart rate and that LOs growth was right on track for my EDD. Then they took a bunch of blood. I go back at 15 weeks to get the second round of blood tests and then I will get the overall results about a week after that.

The tech first did my measurements and then the MFM came in and looked at all of them himself. He gave me the preliminary results based on the measurements at after I got dressed and met him in his office. I had b/w done that day and then again at 16w so I didn't get the full results until 17w.

With mine, the MFM doctor came in right after the scan to review everything with me. Then about a week later I got the results of my b/w, but I had been told at my appt. that from the good u/s and my relatively young age, everything should be fine and not to worry (and it was).
