Hey Mamas. I have not been on for a few weeks, we went a week or two without internet (changing providers) and it made me realize that I really enjoy reading in my free time and that I need to cut back on the internet so I'm not on much. But I wanted to pop on and ask if anyone knew if LO's have a 13 or 14 month sleep regression?
My DS will not sleep at all. He got sick a few days ago and we found out he had a virus, the pedi said that he would sleep A TON and to let him. That needing tons of sleep was a part of the virus. Well he would not sleep at all, I figured he just did not feel well. We waited it out...
Now a few days later we have no fever and he seems better, but still no sleeping. Last night he woke up constantly and so I let him in our bed and breastfed most the night. He did not sleep more then 45 minute stretches, ad usually only 15. He won't nap, not even in the car which is usually where he falls asleep. We will get him down and he wakes right back up. He is usually napping right now and he won't. I'm exhausted...he is so grumpy and crying at the drop of a hat and thrashing around
. Ideas?
Re: 13 or 14 month sleep regression?
Henry's sleep hasn't changed too much, other than he is having a harder time going down at night the past few evenings. Is your little guy teething at all? I'm starting to wonder if that might be part of our problem, but we are having some nursing issues too...
I totally understand how exhausting it is when LO won't nap, so you can get some recharging time as well. Hopefully things will get back to normal for your family really soon!
Is he walking yet? That was a pretty difficult milestone for my DS. He just kept wanting to pull himself up and cruise along the wall! After he started walking things got better for a few days. Now I can see a white lump in his gums - so we're working on a molar now. It's one thing after the other for us!
Hope your little guy gets some good sleep soon, sounds like he needs it if he's been sick.
No he is not walking, which I was thinking may be a part of it. He just wants to cruise all day. I am wondering if he is teething...
I just feel so bad for him and I'm worried because he needs the sleep to completely be better.
