Aches and Pains - hips edition

Is anyone feeling them lately?

Re: Aches and Pains - hips edition

  • yep, by the end of the evening. I use a body pillow and prop one leg over it and it really helps relieve it.

  • Yup, I have good days and bad days. Luckily I have been feeling really great this week. Not so much last week.

  • This is by far my biggest complaint, it's so painful at night but luckily I feel 100% again when I wake up in the mornings.

This is me! When work is really busy and I'm running around and constantly standing, some days it almost feels like my hips are going to fall apart. With the sciatic pain shooting from my ass down my leg as well it makes things really fun :P

  • Definitely feeling the burn.  Top of my stomach is insanely painful these days, too.  It's too early for this!  Crying

  • I have intense pains in my arm for the better part of the day. Weird to think all this is just a normal part of pregnancy.

i was really feeling them last night, like in the back and side of my hips
  • My hips bother me so much in bed. I have to flip sides all night because I wake up with my hip killing me. Then they are sore the next morning when I walk.

  • Definitely! Especially if I have been walking around alot or standing for a long period of time, but by the end of the day the only relief I can get is snuggling with my body pillow..

This is exactly how I feel.  I wake up multiple times to pee or to flip over because I'm uncomfortable.  I normally get my best sleep on my back, but that hasn't been comfortable either for the last week or so.

It doesn't help that I have an hour drive each way to work so I sit in the car--then I have a desk job where I set all day too.  I keep getting up as often as I can to walk around and stretch out a little, but I have a feeling I'm going to be miserable towards the end of this pregnancy.  (not that I'm complaining--I'll deal if it means having a healthy LO in December)

  • Since I tend to sleep on one side now, that one hip seems to bother me occasionally. I try to use my body pillow to prop my leg up a bit and it seems to help.
  • I completely understand where you're all coming from! Mine tends to be the worst at night. I'll wake up with the side of my hip throbbing, typically the side I'm sleeping on. It's also usually accompanied by tailbone pain the next day if it's particularly bad. Goodness, only half way and I'm already experiencing this.
