I feel like he's spending too much time in his swing. I know I should take the "happy baby" moments where I can get them, but I feel like it's going to make his back permanently swing-shaped or something. He already sleeps in it at night (got the ok from pedi). If I take him out of it he fusses, cries, and screams. He's not wet, he's not hungry, he's not gassy. I put him in and he's alert and smiling and interactive with me. But then I feel like if he's that awake, he shouldn't be in his swing. I want to work on tummy time and hold him and walk him around the house. What to do??
Re: Baby loves the swing, I guess...
My son loves his swing too. He takes naps in it and I let him fall asleep in his swing before I put him in his crib at night. I'm concerned he's only going to know how to fall asleep in motion. I read that after he falls asleep to turn the swing off. Sometimes he wakes up right away and sometimes it works. If he does wake up i turn it back on and he falls back asleep. Trying turning off and see what your baby does.
