XP: Recs for car bottle warmer?

DD refuses to take a cold bottle of BM.  We will be taking a long car trip next week (about a 7 hour drive if all goes well).  I plan to nurse at rest stops, but probably not the every 2 hours she's used to.  I'd like to have an auto bottle warmer and give her some refrigerated BM in addition.  Any recommendations?

Thanks!

  • I don't know where you are going, but we're taking an 8 hr car ride next week as well from AZ to CALI. I've actually put cold bottles on the dashboard and let the sun warm them up in the past. Its worked for me.. and its free. This is what I plan on doing with my BM bottles while we're on the road.

  • Take along a thermos of hot water or coffee.  Take a mug and fill it halfway with the hot liquid and let the bottle sit in that until the right temperature.  Or you can always pull through a drive-thru and order coffee or hot water.  I've never found a car bottle warmer that worked for us.  They always took way too long.

  • I bought a Parent's Choice car warmer at a yard sale Friday for 50 cents! It works slowly-but as good as I think I could expect for a car warmer.

  • We bought the Munchkin car warmer for our recent 12 hour drive from NJ to Tennessee...it took about 30 minutes for it to even just take the chill off the bottle and close to an hour to get it warm, so we never ended up taking it with us.  Instead, we bought one of those new Brita filter water bottles.  Whenever we'd make a pit stop to feed him, I'd run into a restroom and fill it up with really warm water and make his bottle that way.  DS doesn't mind taking a room temp bottle, but he certainly prefers them to be warm and this did the trick.  Good luck!
