little flesh colored bumps?

This is either

a. a description of my boobs right now.

or

b.  what is all over Alexander's face...I don't know what this is, but it was around his chin and neck for the past few days so I assumed it was connected to all the drooling he was doing lately.  But now it's traveled up to his cheeks and forehead too.

I fed him carrots yesterday: maybe he has a food sensitivity to them?  But they do seem to be a continuation of what he has had for about 5 days, and I only started feeding him the carrots yesterday.  Before that was pears.

The bumps don't seem to be connected to his eczema.Maybe clogged pores from all the cream I have to put on him to keep his eczema under control?

Any ideas on what these could be?

Re: little flesh colored bumps?

  • Firstly, LOL @ the boobies comment.

Secondly, it could be clogged pores. If they're not red or seem to be bothering him, then maybe just keep an eye on it?

  • I don't know what they are but Liam has them too. He had them for a few weeks and I just kept putting Eucerin cream or Aquaphor on them and they are significantly reduced now. I asked the pedi and he didn't seem concerned, though I can't remember what he said they were.Confused
  • Sounds like Keratosis Pilaris. Most Google searches will show you pretty bad pictures, but it can be pretty simple. I have it on my arms and legs, DD has it on her cheeks. So far DS doesn't have it, but I am sure he will some day.

  • Hi, Jillybean- Did you ever figure out what these are/were? My 1 year old has them all over her face and body (progressively worse over a couple of weeks), her 3 year old friend also has developed them in the past week or so, and I think I just saw a couple on my 5 year old's cheek!  We're do for a 12 month exam, but I thought I'd do a little internet search, as well, and see if I could find a name for this-- definitely looks like it's something viral!
