Hi there! I'm looking for some "long weekend type" vacation ideas for DH, DD (she will be 15 months at the time) and me within about a 3-4 hour drive from Seattle. Looking for places and activities that will be good with an active toddler. So far, I've thought of Seaside OR and Leavenworth. Any ideas, ladies?!

    Hood Canal!  Specifically I would stay in Hoodsport or potlatch.  We took ds when he was about 18 mo old and he LOVED exploring the beach and finding all the little crabs, starfish, clams, oysters and many other things.  We just spend a week there over the 4th with another family that had a 23mo old and both my 4 year old and the 23 mo old had the most amazing time.  My son cries and asks when we can go back on a weekly basis.  Its only about a 2 hr drive from Bellevue and is so much fun.  You can even go wine tasting or rent paddleboats.  I would go there over ocean shores or cannon beach just because there is so much more to do.  We brought an inflatable boat and dropped crab pots everyday, we came home with 40 dungeness crabs!
