Still no answers

So it has been 1 week and 1 day since my d&c. I called my RE's office to see if they had any results in yet and to ask some questions. I was told that they took 2 specimen samples to be tested and the only one that came back was to confirm that it was pregnancy tissue. Well no kidding, I think I figured that part out! I have yet to have my hormone levels checked, they wanted me to wait to do my first one on Thurs. So I asked how long before baths, swimming and of course sex and was told I had to wait till my numbers went down to 0. I asked how long that could take and was told the "latter part of Aug". Aug!!! How am I supposed to go that long without sex???? Didn't someone forget that it was summer???? So now I get to wait even longer for any answers. Hopefully when I go Thurs for bloodwork that I will get some kind of idea of what is going to happen. Oh and did I mention that I get to drive 5 hours to NY for my brothers bridal shower.

    I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.

    Although I am just one person, and this is my personal experience, I will share what happened to me. I also got the pathology back first (the part that confirms pregnancy tissue)...very important, because it helps to confirm that they got what they needed. It took 2 weeks to get my genetics back. My beta was down to 16 one week later, and by the next week, it was negative.

    ETA: Oh, and DH and I resumed intercourse 10 days after D&C, which was what we were instructed. I just had to wait for my internal exam to ensure that my cervix was closed and that I was healing well.

    Pregnant 5/2011 - Miscarriage at 6 weeks due to triploidy
    Decided to adopt - 6/2012
    SURPRISE! Pregnant without intervention - 7/2012 
    Sweet Baby James Born 3/2013
    Decided to be "One and Done"

    ....OR NOT.
    Pregnant 12/2018 despite birth control pills
    Here we go again...
    Due 8/26/19!

    We had to go 6 weeks without sex.  I didn't even want to think about sex until we were at week 4.  Those weeks were um...challenging.

    If it's any consolation at all after surgery I have to wait 4 weeks for sex! And I was just in VEGAS with my bf for a week with no action!!!!!! It SUCKED!@!!!!

    Have a safe drive! At least when you get blood work you usually get the results within 24 hours so by Friday you should know something. ((hugs))
