Since it's still not summer here, I'm curious if either of you take Vitamin D supplements?  I used to take them before my BFP, but have stopped since.  Have either of you talked to your docs about it (or did you even take them before)?

    I haven't taken any, and I really probably should talk to my Dr about it.  I miss the sun so much. 
    TTC #1 since 8/09

    Yep, I'm just over on the Eastside and enjoying the rain.  You're from around these parts, no?

    Yep, I'm just over on the Eastside and enjoying the rain.  You're from around these parts, no?

    I moved from WA almost 4 years ago.  I miss it.  I'd love rain right now - it's hot here.  What part on the eastside?

    You and me both, sistah.  I don't really LOVE the sun a whole lot, but I do like it a little.  This year has been a little harsh so far, hopefully we'll have a nice October to combat it!

    I don't, but I think my calcium has Vit D? Yep, just looked- it has 400 IU and I take one a day in addition to my PNV that has... also 400 IU. Interesting, though, maybe I'll add that to my arsenal.

    Also- I learned in school that this far north of the equater, we as PNW-ers (or anyone this high E or W) don't get a significant amount of Vit D from the sun even during the summer. (And even though it's not hot- this is our closest time to the sun, which is what would make the difference). Maybe that was misinformation, though. Worth asking the Dr about!

    Eastside like of the mountains or of Seattle, Lotta?

    East of Seattle Eastside.  I totally have heard we don't get enough D here too, which is why I took it before.  I'll definitely ask my doc next week (well, definitely unless I forget!)  I only take a prenatal now, and mine has 400IU of D.
