s/o Meal Plan & Toddler Eating

Pretty please with sugar on top post your favorite Dairy-Free and Toddler Friendly meals?

We always eat separate from maeve because I make her something dairy free and then after she goes to bed my H and I eat whatever else I make.  I hate not eating with her and I hate making 2 things, but I'm dairy-free ignorant.  usually I make her veggies, sweet potatoes or potatoes and some protein (chicken, fish etc).  I'm sure she's getting sick of the same old stuff.

Re: s/o Meal Plan & Toddler Eating

  • Gavin has to have dairy-free meals, too.  Here are his favorites:

Hummus with a variety of things to dip in it (chips, pita, bell peppers, etc)

    PB&J

Fried rice (very easy to make)

    Teriyaki chicken

    Spaghetti with meat sauce

Chicken nuggets w/ whole wheat breading (Costco freezer aisle)

Hot dogs (probably not terribly healthy)

    Oatmeal

Our meals are usually dairy free, so I always serve him what we're having, but he is extremely picky and usually doesn't touch it.  If I make something that I know he's not going to touch, I usually throw together a separate meal for him.

  • We do a lot of the following:

    grilled salmon, rice, peas

risotto (we put parmesan cheese on ours, but you don't have to add that) with sauteed garlic & spinach, and grilled chicken or fish

    fish tacos, beans, guac, salsa,

enchiladas with chicken and carmelized onions

Chichken souvlaki (just skip the feta & tzatziki for Maeve)

Hummus, with pita or veggies to dip

    potstickers

Spaghetti with homemade red sauce and meatballs

Seven layer dip with ground turkey (minus cheese and sour cream for maeve)

Lemon pepper shrimp orzo...we use butter, but I think you could easily substitute olive oil
