Update: Detailed Anatomy Scan tomorrow to follow up on abnormal Nuchal Thickness..

Hi Ladies,

I have a detailed Anatomy Scan (3rd a/s) tomorrow morning to review the thick nuchal fold discovered in my previous a/s. It is at a Perionatologist's office so hopefully I get some answers. My referral to an OB has not come through yet, so I'm really hoping I get the answers I need tomorrow and don't have to wait until I'm referred and actually get an appointment with an OB! If you have a few extra T&P's to send out my way I'd appreciate it! Just need peace of mind either way - as I'm hanging in the balance here and the waiting game sucks!

So I had my detailed ultrasound and the Nuchal Fold still measured at 7mm (1mm above normal). It has gone down 0.1mm and luckily hasn't increased. Everything else looked healthy. The Perionatologist said I have a 90% chance of a normal baby and that the baby looks beautiful & healthy except for the one marker. Baby is measuring a bit big - a week or so ahead and that could account for the increased measurement of the neck.... She also said that if she had to bet money - everything will be just fine. YET, I still don't feel 100% relieved. I'm trying to be grateful - and I am so glad that everything checked out fine... but I just wish that measurement was in the normal range. Funny how a little number like that can throw you for a loop! Just gotta keep the faith I appreciate all the T&P's!

Good luck! We had ours a few weeks ago along with an echo of the babies heart. Everything turned out fine and the NT was within normal limits now. Hopefully you will have great news this time tomorrow!!
