I ran into someone in Mexico I knew from the bank I was working at. We went to FL on vacation and I ran into someone I knew from HS at a rest stop. We moved here and I ran into an aunt of a guy my brother went to school with.
Well today sealed his theory. I called to get insurance quotes. I had to give my previous address. The girl asked if I was from there. I said yes. She went on to tell me her madden name and asked if I knew XYZ in XYZland. I said no and gave her my madden name.
She knows my dad. He works on her family's cars.

We live in a small town but it never fails, no matter where we are, we always see someone from the same town.
Once I went to Toronto (and it is a big city) and we parked the car and the first people we see in the parking garage are from our town.
Small world.

My parents have a friend that they met a few years ago, who lived in my mom's hometown for awhile. This would not be at all shocking, except the population in that town is like 700 or something (it's the smallest town in NB) and this lady happened to move there after we moved here, and then moved back here and became friends with my parents through some other friends.
She just got divorced and sold the house she had there. My grandfather and uncle helped her load up the truck, and in return she brought some of our stuff out here with her.
