Hi all - I am looking at the Medal PISA - there are so many extras - parts/bags/etc.. that you can purchase - I have no idea what to get, any recommendations? Thank you!
Everything you need comes with the kit. The pump is BUILT IN to the bag, you don't buy a separate bag. The only other thing you might want to buy ahead of time is a hands free bra, like the Simple Wishes one (I waited a month to get mine, and I can't believe I survived without it since I EP).
Then once you have pumped a few times you might decide you want additional sets of breastshields, valves, membranes, bottles, etc. But I'd wait to see what you use first, you might want a different size/style/etc.
I got an accessory kit at my baby shower. Out of it I ended up using the extra bottles for pumping (we use a different bottle to feed) and I also used the freezer bags that I got.
I would wait to purchase extra parts. I ended up needing larger flanges, so the extra ones I got in the kit were wasted.
The only thing I would consider purchasing extra are freezer/storage bags, and as pp said, a hands-free bra. I made one for use at home from a sports bra, but since I have to pull it over my head, it doesn't work for pumping away from home.
