I'm going to be trying some fitteds with wool b/c the only other thing that works is a Rumparooz pocket stuffed with two BabyKicks hemp inserts (which means 4 layers) and a microfiber insert. Needless to say it is very bulky.

What are you stuffing with? The original inserts? Those are microfiber and don't hold as much as hemp, cotton, or bamboo. You may just be able to switch out the inserts and be set. I'd start there since you already have the pockets.

Yes, we've just been using the original inserts. AWESOME! Thank you so much for the advice, I will be ordering some hemp when I get home! :-)
I'd agree with pp that I'd start by trying hemp inserts in place of the microfiber. If that doesn't work, then fitteds and wool are a good way to go but can be expensive. TT are fitteds. We have one and it's worked well for us for overnight. We've also used a B4 (BuBuBeBe) fitted with wool, and SBish (Sustainably Babyish), both a snapless OS fitted and a medium snapped fitted. We use wool with all of those (a mix of WCW - Wild Child Woolies - soakers and knit shorties).

I've got some Thirsties hemp inserts that I used to use with Kawaii pockets that aren't getting any love at my house since we switched to fitteds, if you're interested in them. I'll give you a good deal!
Do you really mean BG AIOs or do you mean BG pockets? If you mean pockets, then I'd start by stuffing with two full-size inserts. If that doesn't work, try buying some hemp inserts and putting one hemp under (away from baby) and a large microfiber insert on top (closer to baby, in the pocket).

They're really AIOs...they were the 3.0 deluxe dipes that were discontinued in January.
I had been using SBish snapless for a while, but just got some sized OBFs (with snaps) and they are incredible. Seriously amazing. DD is a heavy wetter and we have tried many many diapers. I am so so happy with these. The snapless worked well, but not nearly as good as these. TTs were my back-up night time diaper, but I don't love them because of the snaps against the skin.

This, or a BuBuBeBe fitted with wool on top. I like both combos!
