f/u to HSG - one tube blocked

Ugh.  I guess that's better news than both tubes are blocked.  I think it was Peppernut who said she had one tube? (forgive me if my memory is incorrect).  For anyone who has conceived with only one functioning tube, did you have to do anything special?  I've heard of docs monitoring which side you're ovulating on but my doc didn't say anything about that.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks!

    My mom lost an ovary and fallopian tube due to a ruptured ovarian cyst?in 1968. Me and my brother were born after that. So she had no issues with one functioning ovary and tube.  Though for full disclosure, she had me at age 27 and my brother at 31 (actually he was born on her birthday).

    Yep, I lost one tube and the ovary on that side to the last ectopic rupture I had.  Since it's actually gone, I didn't get monitored or anything.  I have had no trouble at all getting pregnant since, but the doctors will see me earlier in the pregnancy just in case, that's kind of nice.  I am so happy you still have a good tube!  Really, that is so huge.  Phew!

    Ok, but the other one is blown out really good and clear so go have good sex.  According to my doctor, it actually aids in conception.

    Oh, and I'm sure you know this, but once the pregnancy lodges where it's supposed to, that bad tube is no longer an issue.  So, as far as complications go, it's not a complicated complication.  :)

    My sister conceived with one tube.  No monitoring needed but she was seen by her doctor as soon as she got her BFP to make sure it wasn't another ectopic.

    My secondary infertility road was ugly (but successful). In addition to any medical roads you are taking I recommend yoga and accupuncture focused on fertility with a blocked tube....it is not a cure all but helps. Good luck
