Where are you finding your nursery design or ideas? I am at a loss. I spent hours & hours & days & days planning Gigi's nursery and now the thought of taking it all apart & making her a new toddler room & then putting together another nursery for a boy is a bit overwhelming. I would feel better if I had some good theme ideas or something to inspire me with the nursery.

I love looking at Pottery Barn kids right now. I'm not going to do a theme per say but a boy bedding in plaid I found at Pottery Barn kids and frame pictures of my husband as he grew up in different sports. I might even throw in a couple of the grandpa's too... But I don't want to make it look too sport-y.
Modern. Not "ZOMG! This room clearly belongs to a boy". I don't want to do sports or dump trucks or any theme really. I am just struggling because everything seems so overdone. I like monkeys but I don't want monkey wallpaper, kwim?

What about doing something like a wall decal of a monkey ina tree and keeping your bedding simple... maybe just the crib sheets and a plain color bumper? Put monkey stuff animals in a basket next to your glider or chair....little stuff like that maybe?

I get a lot of inspiration from this site
https://offbeatmama.com/filed/photos/pimp-my-kids-room
It has some amazing ideas and the best part is it's all done by real people! Personally I am stealing the leaf canopy idea for when we move DS out of the crib. It is a bit quirky, but good for inspiration.
Pinterest is amazing for inspiration. I have a board where I collect all my ideas for nursery design (not sure what we're having yet) and things to do, projects, activities, etc. https://pinterest.com/wakeupjuliet/for-the-peanut/
This site is amazing!!! Had so much fun on your board!
Go to hgtv.com! I've spent a lot of time there. There's a section called Rate My Space and you can look at tons of pictures of nurseries. There's a section just for modern style with tips on how to create a modern nursery.
Also, I love to just look through google images. I searched "modern nursery" and found tons of cute pictures!
Let me preface this website in a couple of ways.
Under no circumstances should anyone IMO pay this much money for infant stuff. However I got the catalog to help inspire me to take elements I like for DS's nursery. You can do similar things with fabrics, decor, paint, etc. And as much as I love this stuff DS's nursery is still super plain and so will the next LO's be. I am a function kind of decorator. Its nice to dream too of what could be if you could choose anything for your nursery and other decorating needs.

This is what I was going to suggest. What about finding a fabric that you like and choosing things for the room based off that colour palette? I like to keep things clean and make rooms visually appealing by adding pattern and texture rather than too much colour and/or accessories. You could choose fairly simple curtains, bedding, rugs, etc. and then just subtly accessorize with the monkeys like Lexie suggested.
Here is what I'm going off of for my inspiration (just overall style). I like the simplicity of it, although I'd probably add just a touch more in the colour/texture department (but I like that it's a teddy bear room without being a crazy teddy bear room, YKWIM?). My idea is to introduce some gender-specific things after LO is born (since we're Team Green).
