So I want to get a tattoo in honor of my girls, and I was thinking of getting their names on my shoulder blade, but a friend of mine is getting her daughter's birth month flower in her birth month color... and now it has me thinking maybe I should do something special like that instead of just their names, or maybe both?? Any ideas? Their birth month is January (4th), which makes them Capricorns.

Re: XP: Tattoo ideas?
I was wondering this same thing! DH doesn't want me to get one because he's afraid I'd regret it later. And he does have a point...
I'd draw it on myself and wear it a month or so to make sure I liked everything about it. If not, I'd settle for a necklace or something.. haha.
I like the flower idea a lot. I am thinking of getting a nautical star with LO's first initial in the middle. I have DH's name on the inside of my wrist, and although I like it, I regret getting it so big that it's not more discreet for work reasons (it's about two inches thick and 3 inches wide).
That is really cute
I have always wanted to get H's first initial (I found a really pretty looking script font that his initial looks great in) behind the small of my ear, because I almost never pull my hair back, and if I do it is half up half down, so you can't see that area anyway. He doesn't want me to get anymore, but I loved that idea. Now that I have DS, I've wanted to get something for him too, but I can't think of something cute enough that I can use for multiple babies. I loved the idea how the dixie chicks got little chicken footprint tattoos for each album they did, and I'd love to get some sort of very small tattoo for each baby I have, but I can't think of an idea for what I would get...
This is mine
My daughter's name is Elaina Rose. So its Elaina, with a rose, get it? haha. I wanted footprints at first, but I feel like thats what everyone gets and I really love my rose.

I'll love you forever Baby Speck
My plan is to get a tree with a bird perched in it, and add a bird for each future kid as they come.
Based off of this quote:
"To our children we give two things. One is roots, the other is wings"
I think it will be a good reminder to me of what my job is.
My DH did his sons footprint, initials and birthdate, and now he will do DD's on the other arm. Its funny to see the difference, as SS was full term, and my LO was 5 weeks early. lol
I think I'm going to get her initals, but i do like the idea of the flower!
