I did deliver at CMH. I was induced 3 days before my due date (baby was measuring big & I had been 5cm dialated for 2 weeks already). They figured given the circumstances of how I was progressing being induced would had been an easy delivery and it was. 5 hours after they broke my water, I had my son. All 10lbs of him. The nurses were great & encouraged me the entire time.

I RAVE about the LC - Ms. Betty if you were interested in BFing. We started off great but because DS was such a great sucker and loved to comfort suck I developed an oversupply and she helped me regulate that and the BFing support group on Wednesdays afternoons was my way of getting out of the house and spending time with other moms who had babies my age.

Congrats!!!

I am in LaPlata just up the road. You don't find many people on here from Southern MD. I have a few friends that delivered at St. Marys Hospital and said it was great. I am also looking for a hospital in our area but think I will have to go to DC since I am high risk. If you know of any high risk in the area let me know!

Congratulations!! I'm in St. Mary's too but delivering at Civista in La Plata. LO should be coming next month. I've taken the breastfeeding, child care and baby care classes at St. Mary's Hospital and they have been great but I just liked a doctor that has privileges at Civista.
