DS only naps during the day in the swing. He sleeps no problem in his crib at night. Any time I put him in there during the day, he screams. Whenever I put him in the swing, he sleeps. Any transition tips?
No suggestions but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. ((Sits back and waits to read responses))

We are in the same boat. He sleeps roughly 9pm-6am in the crib with a few quick wake ups here in there, but naps are usually a no go in the crib. If we do put him in the crib for a nap, he's up in 30 minutes most times. He was in the swing for his reflux but now that we've got it under control, we still just keep in the swing because it's easier for us. With a loud toddler running around I don't have the time to rock him to sleep and put him in the crib....in the swing he falls asleep on his own (even with the noise) and it leaves me free for DS #1. So I'm really no help!
The first cue of sleepiness (I actually just look at the clock, LO doesn't stay awake more than 2 hours straight). Give him his pacifier, rock him until drowsy (NOT ASLEEP) and then lay him down.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
It will take a little. I swear, E naps really well in her crib and then one day out of 10, she'll just lay there and play and talk to herself for an hour and then falls right asleep when I get her for her next feeding (we are on a schedule). Babies be crazy.

My DS is the exact same way. Like a PP said, I've thought about getting blackout shades because it seemed he did a little better in his PNP at my mom's last week(and I noticed that room stays a little darker than his).
We had the same issue except DS was sleeping in his bouncy seat. I finally realized that he had gotten used to the light and noise of the living room while napping. So at first, I actually stopped shutting the shades, turned on our bedroom tv, and kept his room door open. Slowly I weaned him off the tv aand the light, and now he's sleeping in his room with the door shut in his RNP (which he also sleeps in at night for reflux). I do still have white noise going though. So that's what I suggest.
