put a blanket down when LO plays on the floor? I do sometimes, but he never stays on it so I'm starting to feel like "what's the point?" Oh right, the point is that I hate vacuuming and only do it once a week MAYBE. What do you do? Should I just suck it up and vacuum every morning?

I do when we're in the living room, but only because we have hardwood floors. Upstairs it's carpeted and I don't.

Yes we do all the time. I like to think the fleece blanket is alot better than the carpet.

I do...we have cats and even if I vacuum in the morning by noon there is hair on the floor. (I go through spurts, sometimes I vacuum every day, sometimes I vacuum once per week).

I also do it because he face plants and would end up eating whatever I can't see on the floor and drools so the blanket is easy to clean. We also wear shoes in the house so I'm kind of grossed out about the no blanket thing here.

And lastly, I think it gives a little more cushion. We have hardwood floors and only area rugs.

Our livingroom is laminate wood floors with a rug in the middle. We move the coffee table and put a blanket down on top of the rug for DD to play on. She still manages to roll off it, but it's better than nothing. She's hit her head on the floor a couple times and it results in 20 mins of crying (she just kind of flops over onto her back instead of slowing rolling), so I try to avoid that as much as possible. I don't let her play on the rug uncovered because H comes home every day with grody boots that make a mess. If she's playing in her room or our bedroom (which are carpeted), I don't usually put anything down. The only time I cover the carpet is if she's practicing crawling because she mashes her face into the ground and gets rug burn.

If I just vacuumed, no. If it's been a few days then I do, but she always ends up rolling or scooting off of it anyways.

We have carpet but I do put down a blanket. It doesn't matter though. It seems he likes to go everywhere except on the actual blanket. It is almost like a game...I put him on, he crawls off as soon as I get up.
