Is anyone else experiencing hip and/or pelvic pain already? I have to keep a heating pad at work with me and I have been constantly using one all weekend. I was off work two days last week because my lower back hurt so bad!!!! I can hear my hips adjusting every time I move. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and how have you found relief? TIA
Re: Hip and Pelvic Pain
I started having hip pain about 18 week with my first and it's already started with this one. It got really bad last time around and I found relief in a physical therapist. I've heard people say they've had good luck with chiropractors too.
My advice would be to start looking for treatment early so it doesn't get worse. by the time I saw the PT last time, it was really really bad.
GL!
I was honestly going to post something about this. For the past few nights I have had the worst hip pain to the point where it radiates down my whole leg. Whatever side I'm sleeping on, that hip hurts so bad. Even if I flip over to the other side, I still wake up an hour later in pain because now the other hip hurts. Is this something I can expect to deal with for the rest of my pregnancy?? I already sleep with a pillow behind my back, one in front of me and one between my knees, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Do you think a body pillow would do the trick?
I've had some sciatica pain, same I did last time. Other than a body pillow, I also got massages which helped and got in the pool as much as possible.
Hope you feel better soon!
I have had terrible hip, back and pelvic pain. With my first I ended up off of work due to this pain. Needless to say I have tried everything.
While it doesn't feel as nice as a heating pad ICE is much better for muscle and joint pain.
I have also been seeing a chiropractor which honestly hasn't be that helpful. I am hoping that as I continue to see him that it might get better.
I also make sure that I get up from my desk every half hour to have a little walk and change positions. I think that if I sit too much the pain increases.
I also do some light exercise in the pool which I think has helped.
Go to a chiropractor! I had the exact same issues, but I thought it was due to weight training I had stopped abruptly when i started getting fatigue and M/S.
Every time I moved I could feel my hips clicking or grinding, but after an adjustment, I had instant relief. I did the Gonstead method, but make sure you let your doc know that you are pregnant-he/she should know what to do
I also second getting into the pool if you can and also stretching. Even more points for seeing a chiropractor and getting regular massages.
