I am a little worried

Silas hasn't pooped since last Monday, I know its normal for a EBF baby to go days without a BM, that is not what I am worried about. I am worried about the massive size of this poop once it finally makes it's appearance. I just pray we are at home, he has a clean diaper on so it can absorb the absolute most, and I hope his Daddy is home so we can tag-team it!

I hope for your sake that there is only a little bit of poop in him... I know that is 99% not going to happen though haha.

I worry when Elliotts gone most of the day without a poop, one day without and we get a Massive one. I can't imagine a whole week.

I actually never had this issue until I switched to formula, but I totally feel your pain. When Emma goes a day or 2 without, its pretty explosive. You know it when it happens too because its the only time a dirty diaper makes her sad. Plus it STINKS.

Lol. I had that situation as well. As the days grew I became more and more anxious. I was not home when she blew. In fact I was at work and DH brought her up to see everyone and bring me my pump and he didn't bring the diaper bag! He had to run across the street to Walgreens and get diapers and wipes. I hope he learned his lesson. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hopefully little Silas doesn't have a huge blowout our anything.

Try taking a rectal temp. DD went a week without pooping and her pedi recommended taking a temp. It took about 5 min of trying to get a temp (we tried a few times in a row) but then she WENT. You can also try a vasoline covered q-tip to stimulate the back-end

We go see his pediatrician in 2.5hrs for his 2 month appointment, so I will see if they want us to stimulate it to get moving or continue to wait it out. Why do I have this nagging feeling that when we have to strip him for his weight, he will go then? haha

Oh I feel for you!! DD was pretty regular at once a day for several weeks, but the past couple she's been going every other or every 2 days..and those are big enough for me! I wish you luck when it finally happens.

And I agree - tag team diaper changes are the way to go!

We are having the same issue, but it's only been since Friday. The Dr said to put one teaspoon of dark Caro syrup (in the pancake aisle) in her bottle, twice a day. She is only on breastmilk (breast and bottle) and they said that it is normal to skip a couple of days because their digestive system is getting more advanced and BM has little waste/by-product.

So I'll be getting some caro on the way home today! Good luck!
