I regularly go to the library for new material, and I was wondering what other kids are liking these days since I could use some new ideas!
Old favorites in our house that DS is now protesting include:
1. How Do Dinosaurs....series
2. The "Oh David" books
3. Busy Busy Town and others by Scarry
4. He's not a huge fan of Eric Carle, but I am so he's stuck with it.
5. Curious George
Thanks for any suggestions!
Re: Book recs for 2 year olds
Some of the same, but here are some ideas:
Llama, Llama series
Caps for Sale
Winnie the Pooh (just saw the movie, too)
Berenstain bears, like bears in the night, bears on wheels
If you give a ___ a ___ (cat a cupcake, mouse a cookie, etc) series
Dr. Suess!!
Warner loves Green Eggs & Ham, Hop on Pop, Wacky Wednesday, Ten Apples Up on Top, There's a Wocket in my Pocket, etc.
The rhyming is fun and I like that they are longer books...I think it's good to try to challenge their attention spans at this age ;-)
Little Bear
Harold and the Purple Crayon
Dr. Seuss
Babar
My DS is obsessed with the Frog and Toad stories by Arnold Lobel. Not gonna lie, I really love them too!!
The Foggy Foggy Forest (this was a library find that we then had to buy)
All the Llama Llama series of books
Pinkalicious (not the biggest fan of the rest in that series though)
Duck & Goose (there are also many different books in this series)
Little Quack (there are also many different books in this series)
Amelia Bedelia
Madeline
Little Bear
Curious George series
