Same...we have a floating turtle the has a digital read out of the temp and a blinking light that's red if not within 90-100 and green if within that range.
My sister in law and mother of two (soon to be three) said that you want it to be body temperature, so I used my thermometer to get it to 97 or 98 and then I got in to check it. Tonight was my baby's first bath with mommy. We tried a bath in her big girl tub but it was really hard to bathe her and I was nervous! So, my husband sat outside our tub and I held her in the water and we took a bath. It was awesome. Most of the time she wasn't even in the water b/c the level was pretty low, so I would dip her bottom half in the water and she seemed to like it (who knows at this point.. but she did not cry) and then we just kept squeezing the water from a wash cloth on her. My husband was so antsy about it but she smelled SO bad and so needed a bath.
11kacey- Do you have a bathtub with an infant sling in it? That's a huge help when they are so small. If yours isn't compatible with a sling, Target has these no slip pads you can put in to help.
Also I will fill her tub and put it on a table or a counter in the kitchen because I found it was really hard to bathe her bending over the actual tub with her tub in it.
