So im going to call the dr later, but i thought i would see if anyone else is having the same issue or can help me out. My LO started barley napping during the day (9 days old), and not wanting to be put down at all. She would finally fall sleep at night, and sleep 6.5 hours. We thought it was a fluke, but its been three nights the same pattern. I havent been waking her because I know she is soooo tierd and barley sleeping during the day but i know she shouldnt be sleeping so long so young....right?
otherwise she is BF every 2-3 hours and her diapers seem fine. We did start the Poly-vi-sol vitamines at the same time this change happened, so we stopped the vitamins yesterday thinking maybe it making her uncomfortable or fussy. I did notice yesterday and today she is falling asleep alittle easier but still not sleeping long during the day.
Any input would help...
Re: barley sleeping during the day??
So long as she is gaining weight and is healthy, I don't think she can sleep too long. Consider yourself lucky for the solid sleep.
If, she is wanting to be held and crying during the day that much sounds like collic to me. I would just talk to your pedi though.
