I know we all get winded going up stairs.. So what new things can you not do anymore or have proven to be more difficult?
-I have to exhale really deep in order to pick anything up from the floor.
-Putting on underwear takes supreme balance and has proven to be quite the task.
Re: For Fun: What can't you do anymore?
im with you on the exhaling to pick up things off the floor!
I cant weed the garden anymore and it soooo need to be done....just cant do it anymore
In addition to both of yours,
switching the clothes from the washer to the dryer, it shall be the death of me.
I second your comment about underwear. Never thought that would happen! Also, I can't walk any distance without swollen feet or put my hands in a fist without feeling my fingers tingle.
If I get caught in the rain while on a walk (or in the hail while walking back from the mailbox!!), I can't run home - gotta keep walking and deal with it :-) This has happened to me multiple times over the past couple weeks!
OMG, I tried to run during a storm last week and it was a HUGE mistake - hello awkward!!
I've had the underwear issue for a while
Need help with high fat food ideas? Chunky Monkey
These were going to be mine!
Every time I drop something, I stare at it for a minute and wonder if I can just leave it there and wait for DH, or does it need to be picked up now??
I can't gracefully get into/out of my car. Everytime I wear a skirt I'm thankful I don't have paparazzi following me!
The storms here have been crazy - I can check the radar and think I'm ok to walk, and then of course it starts to rain and lightning when I'm a mile from home. I think I may have preferred that over the current heat though.
anything that involves bending down.. underwear, shoes, picking thing up, etc. Its not pretty and actually kind of hurts haha.
I can't get out of bed or my couch with any sort of grace anymore. Poor DH gets woken up every time I go to pee at night because the only way I can get out of bed its to violently jerk myself up haha.
I can't eat or drink anything anymore with it either getting on my top or going down my cleavage. I don't know what it is. Everything is stained because of it and my boobs have become a foodcatcher. I found chocolate melted onto the underwire of bra the other day because apparently a piece fell down my cleavage and I didn't notice it and it melted there haha

Yes, yes and yes! I especially can't reach any laundry that is at the bottom of the washing machine.
ETA: I can't roll over in bed without first sitting all the way up, readjusting everything, and then laying back down.
Same here! Putting on my DD1's sandals this morning was quite the challenge. I gave up and called for daddy to do it!
Both of the ones you mentioned as well as getting things out of the upper cabinets at home. I am short and normally lean into the counter to reach anything above the bottom shelf. I use salad tongs to get glasses down these days and DH thinks it is hilarious. I think he is hateful.
I can't tie my shoes without getting winded so I have stopped wearing sneakers.
I hate getting clothes out of the bottom of the washing machine.
Bathing my dogs takes way too much effort but is still getting done because they are frigging gross after disappearing in the marsh by my MIL's yesterday. Hosing off the nastiness just doesn't cut it.
I am sure there are tons of others but those are the ones I can think of at the moment.
I can't reach stuff on the higher shelves. I also can't reach stuff on the back of the counters.
I can't get out of bed with out a few good rolls.

I'm with you on the underwear thing. And getting clothes out of the washer is quite a feat.
We are "those people" who eat in front of the TV and it has become exceedingly hard to balance my plate. Baby girl kicks the plate when it's on my belly so if I have anything requiring cutting I have to try to bend over to the coffee table...maybe we should just eat at the table!
Vacuuming feels like running a marathon.
And I have to take a break between every one or two toes when painting my toenails to catch my breath and readjust my position.
My Blog - Taking You Home
Taking off my skinny jeans
My DH thinks it's just adorable when I call him upstairs and shove my feet in his direction so he can pull them off- I think it's annoying!
Well, I CAN shave, but it is.....interesting. I have likened it to mowing the lawn without weeding or edging or any of the details (which, incidentally is what we have been doing recently since it has been raining a lot in my part of FL and the lawn is growing and needs mowed all the time). I run my razor over my legs carefully and my bikini area blindly....just to keep complete chaos at bay.
Also rolling over in bed is becoming comical.......DH is not a small person (not obese, but a little fluffy), so he keeps trying to give me 'tips for being a bigger person' (he has on more than one occasion referred to my 3rd tri as Chubby Husband Payback :-) Nice try DH.
I cannot wash dishes without getting my lower belly all wet.
I can't walk more than a few feet without getting lightning crotch and a contraction.
I cannot stand from sitting without having the urge to pee. Whenever I need to pee I have a contraction too. It makes things fun.
Ahhh!!! This completely...also wondering if I actually have to pee, or if its just because of the way the baby is laying.
I'm repeating a lot, but here are things I've noticed:
-I can't wear sneakers, not because I can't tie them, they just aren't comfortable at all. I wear flip flops everyday.
-I can't give DS a bath unless I'm in the tub with him. Bending over to wash him is impossible.
-I can't reach certain cabinets in the kitchen anymore.
-I've taken a break from watching him, but I was watching a little boy one day a week. The last two weeks he was here, I had to have DH put the PNP up and take it down for him. I couldn't reach the middle to put it up!
-I can vacuum, but can only do one room at a time!
Laundry & Underwear, I totally agree!
I can't keep my balance in the shower for long enough to scrub the bottoms of my feet with my ghetto ped-egg. the dry skin is grosssss!
I can't turn off the light on my nightstand after I've gotten in bed. I now have to do it before, which leads to lots of grunting and blindly grabbing for covers, pillows, etc.
Occasionally, I just say "HELP!" until DH gets up, turns the light back on, lets me situate myself, then he turns the light off & climbs back in.
However, one new thing that I CAN do: go from my bed to the bathroom without opening my eyes or turning on any lights.
it's like you are reading my mind. I also can't stand up like a normal person; i look like an old lady with a broken hip or get out of the bathtub... when i'm done; i have to call DH to come crane me out of there...
I agree with pretty much all the pp's.
I'd like to add driving. Turning around to reverse or switch lanes is no longer comfortable. It actually is becoming painful.
Any bending, stretching or turning of any kind is making my belly feel very tender and sore.
Ladies we are all so close WE CAN DO IT!
I can't walk without being bent over and waddling.
I can't get out of the car without help from either Hubs or the door.
I can't put on panties or pants without sitting down.
Putting on underwear...The other day DH was watching me struggle and walked over, bent down, and put them on for me. LOL! It was so sweet but so depressing at the same time.
As many others said, the whole underwear/bending over thing has become quite the task!
Washing dishes! We don't have a dishwasher, so I have to hand wash everything. It has become very difficult to do this because my stomach pretty much hits the counter top. DH came and did the dishes last night...it was wonderful!!!
Showering is becoming a major problem! I try to bend over to wash my feet andhis legs go right into my ribs. Same thing with drying off after the shower.
And everytime I walk more than 5 steps it feels like I need to pee, I go to the bathroom and nothing!
These replies are great! I don't feel so alone now! Here are mine:
- bending to get clothes out of dryer
- when I drop something on the floor, I definitely stare at it and decide when I will actually bend down to pick it up
- my cat will flop on the floor, belly up, to show me she'd like to be pet.....however, I have to tell her that I can't do it anymore but that I still love her! Then I proceed to try to get her jump up on my lap instead!
- reaching for my car door to shut it really takes effort
- loading/unloading bottom rack of dishwasher
- turning in bed is ridiculous (also, the mirror in the corner of the room that lets me see myself in bed is not a confidence booster!)
- getting out of bed.....oh my, i feel and look like a 90 year old with horrific arthritis (I'm so glad my husband is sleeping in the guest room & doesn't see me hobble to the bathroom 4 times a night!)
- basically, if I walk more than 25 yards, I will start to contract....so, yeah, walking to the garage is like a major trek for me! (I had my husband push me around in a wheel chair at Best Buy last week....which was awesome!)
DON'T GET ME WRONG - I am beyond THRILLED and so THANKFUL to GOD that I am pregnant....so none of these things actually bother me - they just remind me of what a blessing my husband and I have been given! (It is funny though how much our bodies change during this process!)

Totally repeating a bunch but, here goes:
Rolling over in bed - wow. I have to wind up and throw myself to a sitting position and then roll over and settle in The biggest problem is, as soon as I roll over, I have to pee. It's become quite the show i the middle of the night. My poor DH.
Picking things up off the floor... f them. I usually just stare at it for a bit and then walk away.
Getting in and out of the car is awkward, to say the least! Lots of "oof!" and "oy!" coming out of me.
I am sure I will get eyerolls on this one but it made me really sad this weekend to realize I had gone on my last bikeride. Between my belly and my aching hips, I think that was my last time for a long time. I really, really enjoy my bikerides so it made me pretty sad.
Lol.. I totally peed all over my hand last week..
I'm pretty sure everything mentioned has been an issue for me lol.
I'd like to add getting in to my husbands very tall truck. I pretty much have to run, jump and pray I make it! It's not that high but it's still gotta be pretty funny to watch.
