Hawaii Babies

preschools

I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for preschools around the Honolulu area.  My daughter is 2 almost 3 and I would love to start putting her in a school program.  My husband is in the Navy so if anyone knows any military ones that would be great too.  Thanks

Re: preschools

  • Are you looking for a specific type of school?  I'd recommend looking at:

Star of the Sea Early Learning Center -- they're a Catholic school and it's Montessori based.

    Central Union Preschool

KCAA -- they have different locations in Honolulu.

    St. Clement's School

    Angels at Play

    Waiokeola

Most preschools will have applications available in September or later for the 2012-2013 year.

  • I hear Central Union is good.  I went to Montessori Community School (it was Katrice Montessori then) and I think it's a really good school.  Hoping to send my LO there.

My friend's son goes to Kaimuki Christian and she said they really like it but it's very academic.

St Clement's must be good because my friend's daughter goes there and her hubby is a Punahou grad.  I'm sure they wouldn't send their kids to a school that wasn't great.

  • I went to Queen Emma and St. Clements and I remember having a lot of fun Smile Haha, it was quite some time ago, but thought I'd throw the names out there.

  • Oh, yes, Queen Emma is good and my friends like Pali Preschool and Hongwanji Mission.
